Zindage Gulzar Hai- Epi 8 Review

Zindage Gulzar Hai

Episode 8 was the first one which glued me to the sofa and made me watch the entire serial scene by scene. Truly well sewn in scenes and great acting by all actors.

The chemistry between the two actors Zarun and Kashaf has evolved in this episodes and besides the apparent fire cracking dialogues they embrace each other with they seem like two opposite poles waiting to unite. The scene in which Zarun is going to drop Kashaf at her home reminded me of my college days and how up tight some middle class girls can be trying to live up the expectations of their family values. And not to forget the ever drooling Asmara who seemed so insecure trying to talk to Zarun all the time in the car making an effort to highlight her close family ties.

Also I think Kashaf needs to cut it a bit lose as her issue is not just of values and being conservative but that she appears rude at most times which perhaps is an apparent personality trait. In another scene in conversation with her only friend she refuses to elaborate on her fight with Asmara in the library. It can be safely said that  she moves around with a Do Not Disturb board all the time.

Noteworthy are the performances of Kashaf’s friend who is loyal friend to Kashaf and ensures her well being at all times. Also Kashaf’s younger sister gives her a reality check, when she refuses to accept the gift Zarun brought for her. “Tumhain woe tohfa lai leena chaheyei tha”.

Zarun on the other hand is growing with the drama to appear as a boy with confused ideals. The typical how dare she say no to me has triggered him to become a sleazy character trying to woe Kashaf all the time. His favorite in this episode being, “Can I drop you home please!” However, a well deserved applause goes to Fahad Khan who is not just a great actor but also an awesome singer, and his little performance in the episode was really fun. “Wapis kar doe, wapis kar doe mere khat mujh koe wapis kar doe. Joe tanhai kai sathee hain, tum kehte hoe, wapis kar doe.”

Overall I really really enjoyed this episode as it brought me memories of my college days, friends, enemies, rivalries and stresses. Looking forward to the next episode already.
